There are two ways in which your personal data can be included in our e-learning courses: (1) if you provide us with content for an e-learning course (Contributor); or (2) as a student appearing in a video/image that is included in any such content (Student).

By submitting this form, you* authorise International IDEA to publish, reproduce or otherwise use your name, voice, likeness (and any other personal data you disclose during the course of your participation in the videos) in video, photographs, written materials, and audio-visual recordings as part of the e-learning courses developed for educational purposes under the umbrella of the project ‘INTER PARES | Parliaments in Partnership – EU Global Project to Strengthen the Capacity of Parliaments’, funded by the European Union and implemented by International IDEA and in the promotion of those courses. The courses are hosted, published and accessible online. They will be available via the AGORA eLearning Portal for Parliamentary Development (https://learn.agora-parl.org/) by registering and creating a private account with the portal.

The e-learning courses are provided free of charge in perpetuity, will be publicly distributed online and are permitted to be used for non-commercial purposes only.

The courses will be promoted and disseminated worldwide via a variety of media, including through INTER PARES (www.inter-pares.eu), International IDEA (www.idea.int), and the hosting platform (currently AGORA (https://agora-parl.org/)),  websites, social media, as well as brochures and publications.

If you are a Contributor, your full name and title will be credited in conjunction with the video provided for the e-learning course, and may be included when promoting and disseminating the course. We will not use your personal details in any other publicity material, or other printed publications.

You understand that we will use the personal data you provide to us, including the personal data described in this form, for the purposes of Data Protection laws. The lawful basis on which we will use your personal data will be one or more of the following: (a) to make and distribute the e-learning courses which is in our legitimate interests and which are not overridden by your  interests, rights and freedoms; (b) to comply with legal obligations imposed on us. You acknowledge that we will need to share your personal data with our co-producers of the courses, the distributors of our e-learning courses (e.g. AGORA), our professional advisors and our funders. We have set out above a summary of how your personal data will be used by us, but you will find full details of how your personal data is used and what your rights are, in International IDEA’s Privacy Notice available at https://www.idea.int/privacy-policy.

By signing this form, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the above consent and release and agree to be bound thereby. If you have any queries in respect of this form, please raise them with us by emailing INTERPARES@idea.int.

*If you are a Student your name will not be publicised and your voice and image, (and any other personal data you choose to disclose during the course of your participation in the e-learning course) will only be visible to those taking the course.
